Guide:How to play well in Mabinogi Combat

Do you want to play easily and well in Mabinogi Combat? Of course you do if you like this game. The following is a guide that explains Combat in much greater depth. I highly suggest you look at it sometime during your Mabinogi career, especially if you’re a newbie.

The Combat system in Mabinogi is unlike any other Combat System I’ve ever seen. In general, Melee combat consists of your mouse clicking an opponent, in which your character will rush up and hit said opponent for each click of the mouse. Also, your opponent should be knocked back as you complete the max amount of hits your weapon allows. In this game, Melee attacks can never miss.

But what about all those skills you have? Skills should be incorporated into your own fighting style. When you activate your Skill, it will appear as a bubble above your character’s head. You will also notice that this bubble seems to be growing and shrinking for a time. This is because all skills require a certain amount of time to ready, to charge. When this bubble stops this motion, it will remain set and you will hear a sound to confirm that you are ready to use the skill.

So how would you incorporate your Skills into Combat? Let’s say that you’re using the Beginner Eiry Sword. It has a maximum hit of 3 attacks. So you rush up to a Gray Wolf and hit it three times. At this time, it is knocked back with a stun, thanks to your weapon. Now, you can charge a skill that you think will help you win the battle. At this point, I suggest; Windmill, Counter Defend, Icebolt, and Thunderbolt. Of course, each skill has flaws, so you must think on your feet and choose wisely.

Archery is much different from any game I’ve experienced. When you equip a bow and a quiver of arrows and click on an opponent, a percentage will appear above your character’s head, growing rapidly depending on where your mark is. This bar represents the chances you have of hitting your opponent. The longer you wait, the higher the chances are of you landing an arrow square between your opponents’ eyes. However, the highest the percentage can reach is 99% - thus, one and never be absolute in archery. Some Ranged Combat Skills include Arrow Revolver, Magnum Shot and Ranged Attack Mastery.

Magic is simple to use, but hard to effectively use. In this game, you can charge up to 5 shots of your chosen offensive magic. For each charge, something will change about what your spell will be capable of. For example, charging up Icebolt 5 times gives you 5 separate shots of Icebolt whereas 5 charges of Firebolt will result in one extremely powerful Firebolt. Magic also has a set range

Holding the "Alt" button will result in revealing names in a highlighted fashion. In addition, it will link a thread between your mouse and any hostiles in the area, so that you don’t miss your opponent when you click.

Each skill takes up a certain amount of Stamina, or Mana. Be careful about how you spend it without Skills, you’re as good as dead.

Certain monsters have Passive Defense, in the form of Heavy Stander, Natural Shield or Mana Shield. These skills, depending on the levels of the skills, help the monster bypass your Melee, Ranged and/or Magic attacks. When these skills are activated, you will hear a metallic "ping" and the opponent will momentarily flash a color and act as if your attack did not harm or slow it down in any form. At the highest levels, for example, 90% or more of your attacks will be rendered near useless.

I believe you may get the main points you want. Just have a wonderful time! More useful information to help u level up and make money can be found here:http://www.mmofuns.com/mabinogi-f204.html
